The moment is almost here! Preacher will be premiering on AMC this Sunday, May 22nd, at 10 p.m. PT/ET. The network has released today the first 4 minutes of the pilot episode. We get to see a tiny glimpse of the origin of Genesis, a body violently exploding, and Jesse Custer getting ready for church.
The supernatural show is based on the comic series by writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon and follows Texas preacher Jesse Custer, his ex-girlfriend Tulip, and Cassidy the Irish vampire. Things are turned upside down as Jesse acquires a deadly power, thanks to a mysterious entity inhabiting his body.
The series stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Joseph Gilgun as Cassidy, Ruth Negga as Tulip, Lucy Griffiths as Emily, W. Earl Brown as Sherriff Root, Anatol Yusef as DeBlanc, Tom Brooke as Fiore, Derek Wilson as Donnie Schenck and Ian Colletti as Eugene/Arseface.
