Are you still on the Hell on Wheels train? If so, prepare for the fifth and final season of the AMC show when it premieres on Saturday, July 18th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The final season will be split into two parts, with the first seven episodes airing in the summer, and the final seven episodes airing in 2016.
“In season 5, Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) finds himself a stranger in a strange land – the mountain town of Truckee, Calif., home to the Central Pacific Railroad. This rough railroad town teems with thousands of Chinese workers, foreign in language, culture and traditions. Despite the challenges of corralling his new workforce, Cullen leads the Herculean effort to tunnel through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, sometimes achieving only inches a day in the race to complete the first Transcontinental Railroad.”
Episode 1 of season 5 is written by Jami O’Brien and directed by David Straiton.
